When you join Hysab Kytab, we automatically create a Savings account for you, this is where all your goals and general savings are stored.

Saving Goals are for you to bring purpose to your savings by attaching your goals to them.

Use the bottom navigation to navigate to Savings. Tap Create next to Your Savings Goals.

Add in the amount you’re looking to save, and by when you want to have the amount saved. Name your goal, add a tag, and an icon to help you categorize your goal. Tap Create Saving Goal to finish creating it.

We recommend that you start planning larger amounts in advance so your monthly savings requirement is lower and more actionable.

Use the bottom navigation to navigate to Savings. Tap on the dot menu on the Saving Goal card you want to delete, and select Delete.

This deletes the goal, but does not remove the amount from your Saving Goal. To remove that amount, create a Transfer transaction (link to Create Transfer transaction) from  your Savings account to the account you want it to be reflected in.

Use the bottom navigation to navigate to Savings. Tap on the dot menu on the Saving Goal card you want to edit, and select Edit.

You can edit all the details you’ve entered in the Saving Goal.

Use the bottom navigation to navigate to Savings. Tap on the Saving Goal you want to save against, and press Create next to the Recent Transactions.

Add in the amount you’re putting aside for this goal and select the account you want to save this from.

Press Add Saving Transaction to confirm the savings.

This will virtually move the amount from the selected account to the Saving Account.

To move this back to the original account create a Transfer transaction (link to Create Transfer transaction) from  your Savings account to the account you want it to be reflected in.

Use the bottom navigation to navigate to Savings. Tap on the Saving Goal whose saving transaction you want to delete.

Tap on the dot menu on the Transaction Card, and select Delete. Confirm your choice. This will reverse the transaction and return the amount back to the Account you saved from.

Editing a Saving Transaction is not possible at this time.

Instead, you can delete the transaction (link to Delete a Saving Transaction), or add a new one (link to Add Saving Transaction).

Getting Started

Starting your financial journey is super simple!

To keep track of your spending, you first need to set up an account to spend from!

Press the + button on the first card on your dashboard. Select an account type and add how much you have in this account. You’re all set to track your spending!

Track your spending through the + button at the bottom of the screen. Select whether this is something you’re spending (an expense) or something you’re receiving (an income), or even if this is a loan you’ve taken or given to someone.

Add in the amount, category, and account you’re spending from – and you’re all set to record your transaction! Want to add more details so you can recall the transaction better? No, problem! You can add in a description, labels, link a receipt from your storage, and even connect it to an event happening in your life.

Take this to the next level and add a budget to decide what you can spend this month. Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard and press Create next to Your Budgets. Select a category and an amount you don’t want to cross; this will create a monthly repeating budget for you.
